Now that the new year is in full swing, it’s a good time to look back at the changes and improvements we made in 2024, especially when it comes to smaller features and enhancements. As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing your payroll experience, we are constantly evolving to make our software as simple and straightforward as possible, while keeping you compliant.

Below, we have listed some of the features and enhancements that we didn’t blog about separately.

Excel Import for Leave Take-Ons

You can now use an Excel import to capture leave take-on balances in bulk. You can find this new feature under Employees > Bulk Actions > Take-On Balances, under the Leave heading. More information can be found on our help page here.

This is a further application of existing functionality, which already allows for Excel imports to capture a variety of information, including tax take-on balances, employee details, and other leave data.

Filing Web View Option

We’ve extended web filing views so that you can now use the web view option to preview your UIF declarations, in addition to your monthly EMP201s. This allows you to preview the UIF data for a given month in your web browser – before downloading the file.

In addition to the web view, we’ve introduced a new dropdown menu for UIF declarations. This is accessible via a new button and allows you to select whether you want to download the file in either PDF or Excel format. Additional EFT Formats Available

We’ve added three new EFT format options, based on customer requests. The new options are:

  • HSBC (CSV)
  • Standard Bank BEFT
  • Standard Bank Bulk Payment
